Since 1 April 2025 6.5 million loyalty programme members have been automatically integrated into Club Iberia Plus. More than just a name change, the programme also applies new rules.
The biggest change has been in the way points are awarded. Now available at Elite points necessary for an upgrade in membership status are obtained for each euro spent and no longer according to the distance travelled. While this calculation discriminates against passengers who choose the lowest fares, it rewards those who spend more. Which is fair enough!
