In the collective imagination, music in Vienna is all about waltzes, the blue-tinted Danube and the legends of centuries gone by, from Mozart to Strauss. However, the Austrian capital, well in tune with the times, doesn't stop at these majestic artists. And the hotel group Deutsche Hospitality intends to demonstrate this with the a new establishment for its lifestyle brand Jaz in the City inaugurated in mid-August. This is the brand's third hotel in the world, after those in Amsterdam and Stuttgart, and before the one expected in Dubai.
Music has pride of place right from the lobby, decorated in the style of a trendy record shop, right through to the bedrooms, which are all equipped with turntables. 163 rooms and categories evoking rhythm and vibration with 119 In-Tune rooms and 38 premium rooms called Bassline, all equipped with a Bluetooth audio system and yoga kit. There are also four Offbeat lofts, each with an 11 m2 terrace, and two Backbeat suites on the top floor.
Located in the city centre, in Windmühlgasse, a few steps from Naschmarkt, the hotel is the ideal base for festive after-work events, with its Rhythms Bar & Kitchen bar-restaurantwith live music performances every day. Another highlight of the hotel is its rooftop bar, "mariatrink Drinks & Views". For more studious but no less creative meetings, the Jaz in the City Vienne offers two meeting rooms, The Boardroom - for up to 26 people - and The Box, which can accommodate 14 participants.
The establishment is fourth open in Vienna by the German group - recently acquired by Chinese hotelier Huazhu - and joins the Steigenberger Hotel Herrenhof, IntercityHotel Wien and MAXX by Steigenberger. "Deutsche Hospitality has entered a growth phase, and we are delighted to be able to launch a new hotel under our lifestyle brand in such a crucial location.l", said Marcus Bernhardt, CEO of Deutsche Hospitality, at the inauguration.
