Less stuffy, more inspiring, the new generation of meeting spaces that is beginning to spring up here and there has a new representative in the shape of Atelier H. After several months of work, the Novotel Paris Les Halles has unveiled a seminar space that has been completely reinvented by designer Jim Hamilton. Spanning 600 square metres, the seven studios have been decorated around vintage themes - old telephones, old-fashioned radios and CRT televisions, for example - using the hotel owner's own collections. Modular, they offer organisers the chance to create their own working environment, with customisable lighting and musical ambience.
Bathed in light and benefiting from the tranquillity of the hotel's interior garden, Atelier H offers a 'home from home' feel, reflected in an innovative catering concept with open kitchens adjoining each studio, allowing participants to enjoy their day of meetings at their own pace. At the same time, the teams in charge of seminar services are led by two 'maîtres de maison' who ensure a personalised welcome for all events.
In terms of technology, Atelier H's studios are all equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, click & share systems, plasma screens (some of which are interactive and touch-sensitive), as well as more 'old school' elements such as flipcharts and wooden pencils.
