Event: IFTM Top Resa rewards innovation

The 37th IFTM Top Resa trade fair opens on 29 September in Hall 1 at Porte de Versailles. A must-attend event for all those involved in the travel industry in general - and business travel in particular - this year it will be paying particular attention to the start-ups that are transforming the sector's landscape.

More than 1500 brands will be represented from 29 September to 2 October at the Porte de Versailles trade fair in Paris. IFTM Top Resa-Map Pro. Among them, some thirty exhibitors will be set up in the Business Clubthe nerve centre of the Business Travel sector. Opodo Corporate, Magic Event and the hotel reservation centre Realtime Travel Solutions are among the newcomers to this area dedicated to business travel.

This 37th edition will gain in space, with a total surface area of 31 000 m2compared to 27,000 m² in 2014. This expansion can be explained in particular by the show's move to Hall 1. But the real novelty of this 2015 version of IFTM Top Resa - apart from the merger with Map Pro, which Managing Director Thomas Desplanques refuses to see as "the poor relation" - also lies in the spotlight on start-ups in the sector. The " Travel Hub by Amadeus "will be showcasing some twenty new technology players, who will be taking part in 4-minute lightning sessions in a bid to win the IFTM Top Resa Start Up Award 2015. These include Lounge Up, Air Indemnité and Bird Office

The new exhibition space is not expected to boost attendance, even though Thomas Desplanques is aiming - logically enough - to exceed the 29,880 visitors recorded last year, and thus pass the symbolic milestone of 30,000 admissions.
