
The companies British Airways and Qatar Airways have just completed their ambitious global partnership. A partnership that allows the two carriers to pool the vast majority of their network. And to offer connections on what both describe as "the world's greatest connectivity between countries".
The two carriers now offer customers a network covering 185 destinations in over 60 countries via Doha or London-Heathrow.. In this final phase of their agreement, the two companies have added 42 new countries. In particular to and from Italy, the Maldives, Norway, Singapore and Sweden.
BA and Qatar Airways stress that the agreement gives exclusive access to dozens of countries that no other alliance or joint venture offers. Passengers will benefit from even greater choice thanks to more timetables and fares.
"Offering the best of both companies
This initiative is part of the Qatar Airways and British Airways plan aimed at "going further together by improving their joint coverage of the world. And "by offering passengers the best of both airlines".
The expansion will enable seamless connecting travel with single tickets via Doha and London.
What's more, customers will have more freedom in the use of loyalty programmes the two companies, earning and spending Aviostheir common currency. Customers can seamlessly link their Qatar Airways Privilege Club and British Airways Executive Club accounts. to transfer Avios between the two, and combine balances to claim the rewards offered by each programme. This collaboration also provides access to the two airlines' exclusive lounges.
