The Lodge & Spa Collection is preparing to unveil its new jewel, the fourth from this group specialising in luxury hotels in the mountains. Accustomed to naming its establishments after the biggest diamonds in the world - like the Koh-I Nor in Val Thorens, the Taj-I Mah in Arc 2000 and the Daria-I Nor in Alpe d'Huez - the collection will be joined from 26 June by the Incomparable. Unlike the other three hotels, perched in the mountains, this five-star hotel is part of the enchanting setting Lac du Bourget.
Situated on the Tresserve hill in Aix les Bains, l'Incomparable offers panoramic views of France's largest natural lake and the surrounding mountains, including Mont Revard. Set in a carefully restored middle-class residenceThe hotel offers six suites and nine 55 and 45m2 rooms with sitting areas, all of which open onto the surrounding panorama.
Behind its large picture windows or on its terrace, the hotel's restaurant - which seats 48 - enjoys the same setting, as well as the inventiveness of chef Antoine Cevoz Mamy, a native of Aix les Bains who likes to work with local produce.
