Ukraine International Airlines is extending its range of fares by introducing the "cabin baggage only" concept in economy class. As its name suggests, this new offer does not include hold baggage, with passengers able to board with "standard cabin baggage", according to the airline. UIA points out, however, that the new fare does not replace other existing fares. Passengers with a ticket of this type can opt to check in a piece of hold baggage, for a supplement of 25 euros per journey and per baggage item. Business travellers with a Panorama Club Premium card can take advantage of this new fare while checking in their hold baggage free of charge.
Cabin baggage only" bookings have been available since 6 June. The flights concerned will not begin until 20 June. This will exclude domestic flights and the long-haul network of Ukraine International Airlines, which only offers this new fare on international flights to and from the main Ukrainian airports.
