Novotel continues to expand its network in Europe. This summer, the brand, which is present in 24 countries with more than 300 hotels in the region, will be discovering two new countries, starting with Croatia with its first hotel in Zagreb. Located on the eastern outskirts of Croatian capitalJust 15 minutes from both the city centre and Franjo Tuđman airport, this four-star hotel with 163 rooms and suites focuses on business meetings, with a 550 m² conference area complemented by three board rooms.

As summer approaches in June, Novotel will also be adding Malta to its list of destinations with a hotel easily accessible from Valletta, in Gzira. While the Novotel Malta Sliema has all the makings of a leisure hotel, with its seafront location, rooftop pool and indoor pool integrated into its wellness centre, this 293-room establishment is also aimed at business travellers. For seminars and incentive breaks, the hotel has six modular meeting rooms for up to 200 participants.

As part of the new generation of Novotels currently being rolled out, the brand has recently been able to play on the following strengths a new flagship in Spain, in Valencia. The urban and contemporary spirit of the design created for Novotel Valencia Lavant by Sundukovy Sisters revisits an existing hotel. Located right next to the Turia Gardens, 15 minutes' walk from the city centre and 5 minutes' drive from the congress centre, the hotel has 370 rooms and a rooftop bar and pool area on two floors. Thanks to its location, the hotel also has extensive coworking spaces and 8 modular meeting rooms, the largest of which can accommodate more than 250 people in theatre format.

In the second half of the year, the brand will see the completion of another long-awaited project, that of the Novotel Hamburg HafenCityThis complex will also house an ibis Stules with over 450 rooms. Part of the revitalisation of the HafenCity port area, this complex will be located in a new district, Überseequartier, combining flats and offices, shopping and cultural activities. This other flagship of the brand in Europe will offer 163 rooms and a restaurant, the Flave, focusing on local specialities and beers.

However, this expansion of the brand in Europe will also affect its original territory, with a new hotel aimed primarily at the business clientele, located at in the La Défense district. While the brand was already present near the Esplanade, on the banks of the Seine, it is now part of the extension of the business district, moving in close to the new RER E station, Nanterre La Folie. From next spring, Novotel Paris La Défense Nanterre will offer 170 rooms, as well as a restaurant and bar. And, as La Défense is wont to do, there will also be a 400 m² seminar centre with 10 meeting rooms, the largest of which can accommodate up to 100 people.
