Responding to the bleisure trend and "blended travel": with its Transforming Room concept, the Pullman brand is exploring the needs of tomorrow's business travellers. And today too. Housed in the Pullman Singapore Orchard, this room concept is the result of two years of study around customer behaviour, particularly business behaviour, and design innovations. The result is a high-tech space that can be used for work and meetings - with a desk equipped with numerous power sockets - as well as for relaxation, fitness and, of course, sleeping.
Open to bookings for overnight stays or business meetings, the Transforming Room is modular. The cornerstone is the use of the latest technology to operate the room's controls, and a Murphy foldaway bed that transforms the room into a dining room or meeting space.. Lunch or business meeting, dinner for two, party with friends The space can be adapted to the different moments of life during a business trip, encouraging social interaction as well as business relationships. And let's not forget well-being, with modular elements that can be easily moved to isolate a space dedicated to fitness or yoga.

To support this relaxation dimension, the concept room is based on a prototype application that offers a whole range of services, including fitness and meditation sessionsThere will also be digital art in partnership with Artpoint. All displayed in large scale in the room thanks to LG technology, which can also be used to broadcast Powerpoint presentations. " Thanks to its avant-garde design, the Transforming Room can be easily modified to meet the needs of guests, who can switch from work to well-being, conviviality or relaxation, guaranteeing an experience that is as rich as it is flexible." says Benoît Racle, Managing Director of Accor's Premium Brands.
Transforming the trial
Bathroom mirror with adjustable mood lighting, shower for a customisable hydrotherapy experience, high-tech perfume diffuser The Transformation Room, which opens onto a patio, has a multi-sensory design that encourages relaxation.

Experiments with restful sleep are also integrated into the concept. In the evening, with just a few clicks on the app, the video screen is switched off, the blackout curtains are closed and the programmed fragrances are diffused to help you fall asleep. For a gentle wake-up call, all you have to do is press a button and the curtains will part and the room will be bathed in natural light, stimulating the production of serotonin.
Like all concepts, this test room is first and foremost a research initiative". which allows us to observe and understand how customers interact in a multifunctional space" explains Damien Perrotinternational director of design and innovation for Accor's Premium, Midscale and Economy brands. However, it is not impossible that business travellers will benefit from some or all of these innovations in the future, since, according to Benoît Racle, " it will serve as a model for the future of the hotel industry according to Pullman" . All that remains is to make the most of this opportunity.
