After Phnom Penh in Cambodia and Luang Prabang in Laos, Rosewood is preparing to inaugurate what it hopes will be one of Asia's flagship hotels in Rangoon, before moving on to Bangkok and Guangzhou in 2019.
Beijing was for some years the only presence of the American luxury hotel chain Rosewood in Asia and was then joined by two other properties in Phuket, Thailand and Sanya, China. But 2018 saw the opening of a series of new properties across Asia.

In fact, the American group is continuing to focus on the Greater Mekong region. In March, Rosewood inaugurated a resort in Luang Prabang in Laos, offering 23 rooms, suites and villas built in French colonial style in the former royal capital. The property is ideal for the incentive market.
In December, Rosewood will be inaugurating a new luxury establishment at Hong Kongon Kowloon. Where the New World Centre complex once stood along Salisbury Road - the road that runs the length of Hong Kong Bay in Kowloon - A new tower complex has been built, which includes Rosewood Hong Kong and Rosewood Residences. Rosewood guests can choose between 413 rooms and suites as well as 186 flats located on 43 floors of the skyscraper, the new symbol of Kowloon. Le Rosewood Yangon is located in theformer court of justice built during the British era along Rangoon's prestigious boulevard, the Strand. A grandiose facade punctuated by Ionic columns, behind which will be entrenched 209 rooms and suites which will combine colonial architecture with contemporary comfort. The jewel in the hotel's crown will be the Heritage Roomwhich has been restored to its original state. The hotel will offer five restaurants, a tea room, a cigar lounge, a spa and a panoramic rooftop bar, again with superb views over Rangoon.
Early 2019 will see the opening of two more properties. The Hotel de Bangkok will be located on Ploenchit Road, close to Sukhumvit and above all to numerous embassies and companies. The 33-storey building is spectacular, recreating the 'wai', the traditional Thai two-handed salute. The Rosewood Bangkok includes 159 rooms and suites as well as three restaurants, a spa, a swimming pool and meeting rooms.
Finally, because Rosewood seems to love heights, this spring the group will be inaugurating its first hotel in Guangzhou, in the city's tallest tower. The Rosewood Guangzhou will occupy the top 16 floors of the Guangzhou CTF Finance Centrea tower rising to 530 metres. Over its 16 floors, Rosewood will offer 251 rooms and suites as well as 355 residential flats. Seven restaurants, an unmissable skybar, a spa and even a hanging garden will be among the options available to visitors. A conference centre will also offer five meeting rooms and a plenary hall.
