The integration of Sri Lankan Airlines into the Oneworld network was made official by the airline alliance on 11 June. It is based on the support of Cathay Pacific, and on the strong growth of the Asian carrier, which has 21 aircraft covering a network of 34 destinations in 22 countries. The Sri Lankan carrier will also be adding three new destinations to the Oneworld network in Southern India: Kochi, Tiruchirapalli and Thiruvananthapuram.
