"Air France expects to operate at least 40% of its flights for the day of 17 September 2014, taking into account a stable rate of striking pilots estimated at 60% for that day." This is the message of the press release published on Tuesday, in which "the airline once again advises its customers who have booked a flight between 15 and 22 September to postpone their trip or change their ticket free of charge". On the Marseille Provence Airport (AMP) website, 62 of the airline's flights had been cancelled on Monday alone, representing 70% of the airline's traffic at the Marseille airport, and 20% of the airport's flights. Air France also asserts that it has mobilised its teams to limit the impact of the strike on passengers as much as possible: almost 900,000 text messages and messages have been sent out since last week to individually inform customers who were due to travel during this disrupted week.
