The S4 satellite, with a capacity to accommodate nearly eight million passengers and reserved for long-haul traffic, is part of the “Hub 2012” project, which brings together all Air France traffic in the 2E, 2F and 2G terminals, as well as that of its SkyTeam alliance partners. Terminal 2F will now handle all Schengen traffic, while Terminal 2G will remain dedicated to regional flights. The first concern for Air France and ADP is to simplify the transfer circuits, which account for 52 %dpassenger flows. For greater fluidity, the police check points will be centralized in a single location in each terminal. Passengers transferring between destinations will be exempt from security checks if they arrive from a Schengen destination, benefiting from a special circuit. In terms of comfort, ADP and Air France have particularly worked on the spaces, as well as on the lighting and activities within the terminals. There will, of course, be a wellness area, showers, and a 80-room hotel and a dining area. In terms of culture, a gallery, reflecting the collections of the major national museums, will open within the terminal itself. Air France will also offer its high-end passengers a lounge of 3,000m2 that can accommodate 600 passengers, with a spa and a special focus on gastronomy… The company will also offer them the SkyPriority service with dedicated check-in and priority border crossing.
