The United States publishes its 2011 airline league table

The US transport authorities have just published their results for the airline industry in 2011, with a very slight increase in traffic (+1.7%).

The 2011 results published on 3 April by the US Department of Transport put the number of passengers using local airlines or US airports at more than 803 million, including 730 million for US carriers alone. Among them, Delta leads the way (+2.31TP3Q to 113.4 million) just ahead of low-cost carrier Southwest (110.5 million). Despite a very slight fall in traffic (-0.1%) American Airlines rounded off the podium.
