Towards a waterproof iPhone 5?

A new process for guaranteeing the waterproofing of tomorrow's mobile phones is of particular interest to several major manufacturers, led by Apple.

What if water resistance was tomorrow's challenge for future smartphones? At least that's what Zagg is advocating, following the presentation of a new 'HzO' technology capable of making various models of mobile phone waterproof. The process, presented in mid-January at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES), is based on a protective film capable of shielding electronic components. It is said to have attracted the attention of several manufacturers, including Apple and Samsung. According to information relayed by the British website Pocket-lint The company [Zagg] has told us that it is in negotiations with Apple, and hopes to be able to offer a waterproof iPhone 5". Zagg also had no hesitation in equipping several smartphones with its HzO process at CES, including an iPhone, to demonstrate its effectiveness.
