It's a scene that seems almost 'normal' by now. But it is also a sign of the great ambitions of the French market and of Europe as a whole. After Paris, after Lyon, but also Nice and more recently Toulouse and MarseilleOn 12 June, Turkish Airlines celebrated the sixth French destination to be served by the airline: Bordeaux. Alain Juppé, mayor of the city of Gironde, made the trip to Mérignac to welcome this new player in the Bordeaux economy. With four flights a week (on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays), the airline will be flying business travellers from Aquitaine to the Istanbul hub and its vast network of Turkish Airlines destinations. Flights are scheduled at 2.25pm from Bordeaux and 10.50am from Turkey. Bordeaux thus becomes the 254th Turkish Airlines destination worldwide.
