Turkish Airlines lands in Marseille: four flights a week to Istanbul

Turkish Airlines is adding Marseille to its French catalogue with the inauguration of a new route between Istanbul and the city of Marseille on Tuesday 4 June.

After Paris, Lyon, Nice and Toulouse, Marseille is joining the club of French airports served by Turkish Airlines. Since 4 June, four flights a week have linked the Provencal airport to Istanbul. Flights leave Marseille at 2.35pm every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, arriving in Turkey at 6.35pm. Return flights are scheduled at 11.25am, arriving in Marseille at 1.45pm. "We are trying to concentrate our efforts as much on passengers departing for Istanbul and the long-haul network as on passengers [arriving in Marseille] to play an active part in the region's tourist activity," explains Erhan Ipek, Managing Director of Turkish Airlines Marseille. In total, the Turkish airline operates 63 direct flights to Istanbul from France every week, including four daily services from Paris.
