First Heathrow-Vancouver flight for Virgin

On 25 May, Virgin Atlantic and its Chairman Richard Branson inaugurated the airline's first flight between London Heathrow airport and Vancouver.

The new Virgin Atlantic flight between London Heathrow and Vancouver marks the airline's return to Canada after an absence of more than ten years. It has been operating four times a week since 25 May, with flights every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday until 27 October. This transatlantic route becomes the airline's 32nd worldwide, and is expected to attract more than 40,000 passengers in its first season, according to forecasts released by Virgin Atlantic officials.
