Launched in 2019 in Beaune by the Accor group, the Greet brand has just rolled out its sustainable, designer concept in Lyon. Following openings in Marseille Centre Saint Charles and Marseille Provence Aéroport, the low-cost chain has set up shop in another key thoroughfare for business travellers, just a two-minute walk from the Lyon Perrache station.

The Lyon Confluence greet hotel offers 79 rooms and three meeting rooms, but its main distinguishing feature is its responsible approach, with a decor combining craftsmanship and recycling. Giving a second life to all objects As one of the pillars of the greet concept, the hotel team got involved in this idea. Under the impetus of general manager Marie Diévart, who is passionate about sustainable development, several members of the hotel team have contributed to the decoration, for example by transforming old vinyl records into coat hooks or recycling a medicine cabinet into a bathroom mirror.

In terms of furniture, the hotel's design also benefits from collaborations with Fermob and the cabinetmaker La Fabrique, for tables d'hôte in recycled woodIn addition to objects found at Emmaüs. The same sustainable effort has been made in terms of clothing, with members of the hotel wearing clothes from the eco-responsible Instinct range, designed from sustainable fibres by the jeans brand Bonobo. With trainers made from plastic bottles from French brand Corail.

This spirit also extends to the restaurant trade with an eco-responsible brand, Café Joyeux, which supports the inclusion of people with mental and cognitive disabilities. On the relaxation front, the hotel's restaurant-bar, Mademoiselle Simone, named after Nina Simone, combines a strong taste for jazz with the highest standards of service. authentic cookingThe menu features market dishes, revisited classics and forgotten Lyonnais recipes such as white beans à la bourguignonne.

Present in France and Germany, the greet brand aims to develop 300 hotels by 2030, notably in Paris, Bordeaux, Rennes, Nancy, Vienna and London.
