The Alboran Group offers a new base camp for business travelers passing through Paris, ideally located a stone’s throw from Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est. Or rather, a revamped base camp since the hotel was long known as Mercure Paris Gare du Nord Lafayette. As in Reims where the’Former Mercure Centre Cathédrale has become a Hyatt Centric and as in Toulouse where the investor and hotel operator converted an old Pullman into a its lifestyle brand First Name, Alboran, which operates a JdV by Hyatt brand property, has rebranded the entire place following its renovation to a new brand.

Since its reopening at the end of September, the hotel has changed its identity to join the Tribute Portfolio collection of Marriott under a new name: the Clubtrotteur Paris – Tribute Portfolio Hotel Marriott. This is a change in identity but also in décor, with a new cozy design created by architect Michael Malapert, inspired by nature and large spaces, with a fireplace in the lobby reminiscent of the evenings spent around the campfire.

Supported by BPI, Extendam and Marriott, this transformation allows the hotel to offer today 48 fully renovated rooms, a wellness area including a sauna and a cold plunge to recharge the batteries, and, for the business side, three meeting rooms. All of this is complemented by a café-bar where the products, including those for breakfast, are sourced from local producers. Organic cosmetics in the rooms, and the collection of biodegradable waste managed by Les Alchimistes: the hotel is also working towards its next Clef Verte certification.
