As proof of its expansion among European companies: Navan chose Paris to host its second major event Navigate after a first edition in New York last May. An opportunity for its top executives, led by co-founders Ariel Cohen and Ilan Twig, to showcase its technological solutions to its existing and prospective clients. But the travel agency also took advantage of this detour in the heart of the French capital – the event was held at 3 Mazarium, a Chateauform site located within the Institut de France – to announce three new features.

Announced last June, the Navan Anywhere initiative, supported by the launch of a MCP connector, had already seen the integration of Navan’s features into everyday professional tools such as Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude. Extending this evolution, its AI agents are now accessible within the collaborative messaging platform Slack. This allows employees to search, book, and manage their travel without changing environments, while also benefiting from the TMC’s assistance services.

Alongside travelers, administrators can also interact with Navan solutions to obtain detailed information about their company’s expenses or travel policies. And that, pending other new features such as assistance with managing expense notes for users and dedicated validation processes for administrators.

Another evolution of the existing system, Navan is strengthening its centralized management of expenses internationally by expanding its Navan Payments card program to five new currencies: the Australian dollar, the Canadian dollar, the Danish krone, the Swedish krona, and the Polish zloty. This now allows the issuance of payment cards and settlements in 15 currencies worldwide, without additional foreign exchange fees or the complexity associated with transfers between entities within the same group.« Multinational companies can thus group a larger portion of their international spending and maintain a global view of it, without having to multiply the payment solutions specific to each region. », explains the business travel and expense notes management AI platform.

Finally, Navan has also tackled one issue: managing the expenses of guests, whether it be a client attending a meeting or a candidate who has to travel for a recruitment interview. Through the new Guest Expenses feature, expected in the coming months, companies will be able to organize their travel arrangements and manage their reimbursements.« within a unique and structured process ».External parties will simply have to submit their expenses and track their reimbursements from Navan, while administrators on the other hand will be able to define policies for guest-related expenses, as well as validate these charges and see them appear in their analyses.".

Other developments in expense management include the upcoming ability to submit expense notes via video and voice command, with an oral description of the supporting documentation captured on film; as well as the sending of SMS messages by Navan’s AI agent to travelers to request the addition of missing supporting documentation or the completion of certain information. Finally, European companies will benefit from specific enhancements for this market with new features for mileage reimbursement management, tax processing, and the handling of daily allowances.
