After consultation with the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), KLM has developed a safe alternative test protocol for crews arriving from high-risk countries. The protocol adopted provides for personnel to undergo rapid screening tests. to and from Amsterdam Schiphol.
KLM says it is suspending all flights to the UK, South Africa and South America.
For passengers travelling to Amsterdam from high-risk areas, the Dutch government is requesting antigenic tests. The authorities are also calling for a PCR test carried out 72 hours before you leave. KLM will help customers find antigen tests for destinations where airports do not offer this service. The test must be carried out less than four hours before boarding.
