One last door closes in Europe for flights to and from Russia. On Monday, the President of the Swiss Confederation, Ignazio Cassis, activated the a ban on Russian aircraft flying over and serving Swiss territory.
The airline Swiss is therefore also banned from flying to Russia. Until yesterday, it was still the last airline in Western Europe to be able to fly to Moscow or St Petersburg. It thus follows the rest of of EU carriers.
In Europe, there are now only a handful of airlines offering connections to Russia. In particular Air Serbia and Turkish AirlinesThe governments of Serbia and Turkey have not suspended flights. But for how much longer?
