
The Intercity Hotel brand, known for its hotels located close to railway stations, particularly in Germany, extends its expertise to airports. This is true in Switzerland, where the German group Deutsche Hospitality's three-to-four star brand recently opened a hotel near Zurich airport, with another due to open in Geneva next year. But it's also true, since June, in Amsterdam where IntercityHotel has set up shop not far from the Schiphol hub.

The group's third hotel in the Dutch metropolis, joining the Jaz in the City Amsterdam and another airport establishment, the Steigenberger Amsterdam Airport, this new development is a convenient new address for business travellers. But above all, it is part of the development of a new business districtThe Schiphol Trade Park is set to become "the most sustainable business park in Europe", according to Gerard van Liempt, CEO of the Necron Group, the project's property developer. The result is an establishment in line with the eco-responsible dimension of the district, and designed by the brand's regular architect, the Italian Matteo Thun. The IntercityHotel Amsterdam Airport offers 280 rooms contemporary style, including 23 m2 business rooms with desks. Other hotel highlights include a bar and restaurant with adjoining terrace, and a spa with sauna and gym.
For business meetings, the hotel offers the following facilities six meeting rooms with daylight, three of which can be combined into one to accommodate up to 240 people. Equipped with screens and audiovisual projection systems, the other three are suitable for smaller business meetings, such as board meetings.
