Ahead of the Univ'AirPlus event - which will be held at Thursday 8 September at the Jardin d'Acclimatation with the theme "Travelling or doing something for the planet, should you choose? - the corporate payment specialist has just announced integration of the AirPlus Corporate Card into Apple Pay. While Apple's payment solution is accepted by a large proportion of business expenses, from hotels to taxis, restaurants to supermarkets, business travellers who are loyal to their iPhone and Apple Watch will be able to use these connected objects to pay for their purchases. All contactless and secure, with authentication via Face ID, Touch ID or the device code, plus a unique transaction code.
In addition to mobile use, Apple Pay can also be used for online purchases or in apps, with this payment method integrated into iPads, Macs and the Safari browser. The advantage for users is that they don't have to create an account or re-enter delivery and billing information.
Like security, the confidentiality of purchases is guaranteed by a Device Account Number, which is allocated, encrypted and stored securely in the Secure Element. So, as AirPlus points out, " when a payment is made with an AirPlus Corporate Card via Apple Pay, the card number is not saved on the device or on Apple's servers " . This new feature is presented as easy to set upCorporate cardholders simply need to open the Wallet app, tap the + sign and follow the instructions.
