The place is simply delicious. With two small, chic rooms perched at the top of an almost secret staircase, a very low ceiling above a floor of thick, shiny planks that don't quite know which way they want to lean, white lace curtains and narrow windows with panes beaten by the rain... Hurtigruten coastal express
This legendary route, which departs every evening from Bergen, takes six nights and five and a half days to sail to Kirkernes, well beyond the North Cape. And back again.
