
Ennismore is heading for Mexico City. With just one hotel so far, the Mondrian Mexico City Condesa, due to open in 2022, Accor's lifestyle hotel subsidiary has just announced three new openings for its Hyde and The Hoxton brands, as well as Mama Shelterwhich is due to make its debut in the Mexican capital this year.
Back in April, Ennismore made significant inroads into the country as part of a partnership between Accor and Royal Holiday Group to take over the management of 17 hotels, eleven of which will be rebranded as Swissôtel, Mercure, Mercure Living and ibis styles. For its part, the lifestyle hotel specialist will take the other six under its wing, with three of them being converted to the Swissôtel, Mercure, Mercure Living and ibis styles brands. the forthcoming debut of luxury brand Rixos with all-inclusive resorts in Puerto Vallarta, Cozumel and Cancun.
This new development is aimed more directly at business travellers, with the arrival in Mexico City of a popular brand, Mama Shelter. Without knowing any further details, the hotel has been announced for end 2025 " in one of the city's trendiest and most culturally rich districts "and will offer 100 rooms, as well as, as it should be, a "exuberant interior design" .
Also later this year, a Hyde hotel is expected in the heart of Paseo de La Reforma, with a bohemian atmosphere, 215 rooms, two lively restaurants and bars, and meeting and event spaces. By 2028, The Hoxton hotel is due to open next door, offering 80 rooms.
Future developments in Mexico are also aimed at leisure customers, with a Hyde resort expected in 2027 in Mazatlan on the west coast and the Delano East Cape in Los Cabos on the east coast, scheduled for 2029. Well before that, at the end of this year, the Delano brand will have reopened its iconic hotel in Miami Beach. Launched some thirty years ago by Ian Schrager, and designed at the time by Philippe Starck, the brand's original establishment has been given a new lease of life, with a rooftop swimming pool and 171 redesigned rooms and suites, while retaining its Art Deco style and its focal point, the Rose Bar.

Also in Miami, another Art Deco gem, the Balfour Miami Beach hotel, is joining the Morgans Originals collection. For its part, The Hoxton brand will also be expanding its offering across the Atlantic by 2027. In addition to its establishments already open in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Portland, the brand is expected to open in Nashville with a hotel with over 200 rooms and four restaurants.
