AirHelp rankings: French airports flirt with the Top... 100

The AirHelp awards have been unveiled. It shows an improvement in the performance of French airports. However, they are still far from the top places.

Pending the outcome of the Connect France plan - and under threat of new taxes in gestation in French skies - where France's airports stand in terms of passenger experience, and in particular in terms of punctuality ? AirHelp has delivered its verdictA ranking based on passenger evaluations (20%), flight punctuality (60%) and the quality of leisure and catering facilities (20%) ....

On the face of it, the air transport compensation specialist takes a benevolent view of French hubs. The authors of the 2025 ranking even praise the remarkable" results : " Once again, France has 10 airports in this international ranking, all of which have improved with remarkable scores". In fact, Francis Marasco, Head of Data Analysis at AirHelp France, describes the French performance as a "real tour de force". The fact that virtually all French airports have climbed significantly up the international AirHelp Score rankings bears witness to the excellence with which France is defending its standards. It's a real tour de force in a global context of unprecedented competitiveness. "

Of course... But this international ranking brings together no fewer than 250 airports - 11 more than last year - and making up the numbers will not satisfy all the players concerned. But that's more or less how French airports sum up in the AirHelp 2025 rankings. With 101e place, Toulouse retains its French leadership. Blagnac outstrips Lyon Saint-Exupéry (102e) and EuroAirport (108e). Orly is named the capital's best airport (117e), Paris-CDG being relayed to 184e place.

France's performances, which can be described as 'average', are ultimately a reflection of the European continent as a whole. Only two representatives feature in the top 20: Bergen-Flesland (Norway), and Bilbao (Spain). European airports are paying for their lack of punctuality, according to the authors of the study. American hubs are also lagging behind, with just one airport ranked. The best performers are to be found in other, more studious markets, notably in the Middle East, which is continuing to grow in importance, and also in Latin America.
