Amadeus is strengthening its rail business with the official appointment of Thomas Drexler as Director of Rail on Monday 24 October. His experience gained at Deutsche Bahn, as Vice President Sales, as well as at Lufthansa and at Start Amadeus - now Amadeus Germany - provides him with in-depth knowledge of the travel industry. Thomas Drexler's appointment follows the Group's recent creation of a new department, headed by Francisco Pérez-Lozao, to diversify and develop Amadeus' IT activities in the hotel, rail, ground transport and airport sectors.
