Finnair has announced that its flights to Luxembourg, Turin and Valencia will be available all year round. These routes, originally planned only for the summer season, have now been made permanent. There is strong demand from business travellers and connecting passengers between Luxembourg and Helsinki, as well as to the entire Finnair network. Connections to Luxembourg will therefore be increased from three weekly flights in summer to four weekly flights during the winter season.
Valencia and Turin, both business and leisure cities, will also benefit from more frequencies. Finnair will serve Turin three times a week in summer, then once a week throughout the winter season and twice a week during the peak winter sports season from January to March. Flights to Valencia will continue in winter with four weekly frequencies.
Among the previously announced routes, Stavanger (Norway) and Umeå (Sweden) will also be operated all year round. Next winter, nine weekly flights will be operated to Stavanger, including six from Helsinki via Stockholm Arlanda and three direct to Stavanger. All return flights from Stavanger to Helsinki will have a stopover in Stockholm, also boosting connections between Stavanger and the Swedish capital. Ten weekly flights to Umeå will be offered in winter, via Vaasa.
Finally, the airline is expanding its long-haul network. It will be launching direct flights to Toronto in May and opening a new route to Melbourne, Australia, in October.
