Air France will not be offering any flights to/from Tel Aviv and Beirut until 4 April inclusive, nor any services to/from Dubai and Riyadh until 28 March. While several carriers have already postponed services to the major cities of the Near and Middle East until later, in mid-April in the case of KLM's flights to Tel Aviv, or even mid-May for Dubai and Riyadh, the French airline is adopting a policy of taking small steps.
Air France is thus readjusting its flight schedule as it goes along, with new destinations announced mid-morning on 20 March concerning Tel Aviv and Beirut, and in the afternoon of 19 March for Dubai and Riyadh. In parallel, its low-cost subsidiary Transavia France has extended the suspension of its flights to/from Tel Aviv and Beirut until 27 March. Regarding services to Saudi Arabia, the routes to Jeddah are suspended until 28 March.
For either airline, passengers affected by these flight cancellations will be informed by email and SMS and will be offered the option of rebooking free of charge or a refund of their ticket. Alongside this, commercial measures are being put in place for travellers who wish to postpone or cancel their trip.
Air France passengers planning a trip to or from Tel Aviv, Beirut, Dubai or Riyadh before 19 April will be able to postpone their trip free of charge in the same cabin until 17 May 2026 inclusive. This will be offset by a credit note valid for one year on Air France, KLM or Delta Air Lines routes. Transavia customers can postpone their journey and receive a credit until 30 April for journeys scheduled up to 15 April.
In addition, following the massive cancellation of flights by Middle Eastern airlines serving Asian cities, and in response to strong demand, Air France has been deploying larger-capacity aircraft on its flights out of Bangkok, Singapore, Delhi, Mumbai, Shanghai, Tokyo and Phuket since early March. The airline is also adding extra flights on departure from Bangkok, Singapore and Delhi.
