Air France signs order for Boeing Dreamliners

Boeing announced on Wednesday 11 January that Air France has ordered 25 Dreamliners, which will help to renew the airline's fleet.

So the pressure exerted by a number of French MPs on Air France to show "economic patriotism" has come to nothing: a few months after an initial agreement with the French airline, Boeing today announced the acquisition of 25 Boeing 787-9 "Dreamliners". The aircraft has a capacity of 250 to 290 passengers, a range of 14,800 to 15,750 km, and above all lower fuel consumption, at 20% than other aircraft of the same type. The Air France order, signed last December, brings the total number of aircraft of this type already ordered to 305, according to Boeing.
