Radisson and B&B Hotels had already set up operations on the island of Réunion in recent years. The Originals Hotels chain will soon establish itself there with two hotels expected by the end of 2028 in Saint-Pierre. Located just a few minutes from the seafront and the town centre of Saint-Pierre, these two establishments will cater for both short and long stays, with one hotel offering 39 rooms and, on the other hand, a tourist residence with 34 apartments.
With construction expected to begin by the end of the year, these two new 4-star hotel addresses will target both tourists and business travellers. Designed as a real living space, this project will include a swimming pool and a spa, as well as coworking spaces and meeting rooms. As for the catering, it will focus on "healthy" cuisine, highlighting local produce.
Designed according to bioclimatic principles, the buildings of both establishments – The Originals Boutique, Hôtel Manabi and The Originals Résidence, Hôtel Villa Manabi – meet the requirements of the European green eco-label and the achievement of the excellent HQE label. While the ambition is to preserve local fauna and flora, and the decoration will give an important place to artists and artisans from Reunion Island, the interior architecture of the hotels contrasts with the setting, being inspired by the "Japandi" aesthetic, blending Japanese influences and Scandinavian design.
These two establishments will thus join the 300 independent hoteliers in the cooperative hotel group. Membership in the cooperative will allow us to benefit from the strength of a network while preserving Manabi's unique project identity. », testifies Christian Bertetto, founder of the Manabi project.
