A few weeks after seeing the return to business of its historic hotel in Turkey – the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus, opened in 1955 and entirely redesigned after three years of renovation work – the Hilton group crossed a symbolic milestone during the month of August: that of the 100e hotel in this country. An establishment in a prime location for business travellers, being just a few steps from one of the busiest airports in the world while also connected by metro to the centre of Istanbul.
Located directly opposite this key hub, the Hilton Istanbul Airport offers 485 rooms and suites with runway views, in a design setting that evokes both the city's historic neighbourhoods and the shifting colours of the Sea of Marmara.« More than just a practical stopover, the hotel is a welcoming meeting point for business and leisure travellers, setting a new benchmark for airport hospitality in Turkey », introduced the general manager of the establishment, Tolga Aytan.
In this context, the hotel features in particular extensive wellness facilities with an indoor swimming pool and a spa, alongside a fitness centre. On the dining side, Hilton used this opening to launch its OXBO concept in Turkey, featuring three distinct spaces – restaurant, café and 24-hour open bar – to cater to the various expectations of travellers.
A meeting offer is naturally included, featuring a 650m² MICE space comprising eight modular meeting rooms and a large ballroom that can accommodate 250 guests. At the same time, VIP guests will have access to an executive lounge with direct views of the runways and boarding gates.
C 100e group hotel in Turkey is part of a record growth phase, « with more openings this year than ever before », highlighted David Kelly, Senior Vice President for Continental Europe at Hilton. Hilton Istanbul Airport is thus one of 14 openings planned for 2026, adding to the launch of the Spark by Hilton brand in the country and a first cave hotel in Cappadocia. Meanwhile, early 2027 will see the opening of the Porto Chiara, Curio Collection by Hilton, in the Karakoy district of Istanbul. This hotel will bring the American group closer to the milestone of 40 properties in this major business metropolis.
