The survey, published on Thursday by AirPlus and carried out by 2hm, was based on the forecasts of 1,700 travel managers worldwide. More than a third of them (35%) anticipate an increase in the number of business trips during 2012. However, Western Europe (31%) and, even more so, Southern Europe (28%) are likely to see smaller increases. Conversely, Latin America (48%) is set to play a leading role, as are Asia-Pacific (37%) and the United States (38%).
