Trivago index: hotel rates fall in Paris

After soaring in recent weeks, Parisian hotels lowered their rates significantly in August (-18%) according to the trivago Hotel Price Index (tHPI) published on 6 August.

The latest edition of the trivago Hotel Price Index (tHPI) published for August shows a sharp fall in hotel rates in Paris. The average price of a standard double room fell from €179 to €147 between July and August, a double-digit fall (-18%). The same trend can be seen in London (-12%) and Rome (-13%), as well as on the domestic market in Cannes and Aix-en-Provence (-8%).
