Snow causes "very severe disruption" to Thalys on 13 March

Snow will once again be disrupting business travel in Europe this Wednesday 13 March. In its information bulletin published late on Tuesday afternoon, Thalys is forecasting "very heavy disruption across the entire network".

Further disruption is expected on the Thalys network this Wednesday 13 March. Following the closure of the Brussels-Paris line on Tuesday, the rail company is warning that "very heavy disruption is expected (...) on Wednesday 13 March across the entire Thalys network, due to continued snowfall and the time needed to repair the infrastructure". The information bulletin states that "The resumption of traffic will depend on the improvement in traffic conditions and the agreement of the infrastructure managers to resume traffic or not". It should be noted that all tickets valid for the two days concerned can be exchanged, subject to seat availability, or refunded at the original point of sale.
