Away on business by Accor: business travel as easy as an app

On 30 May, Accor unveiled its new "Away on business by Accor" technology service: an iPad application dedicated to business travellers, making it easier to book hotels and manage business trips. The aim is to make business travel "user-friendly".

Since 29 May, business travellers have had access to a specific technological tool within the Accor group. The application, which is free of charge, covers thirty top business destinations - including Paris - in 19 countries. In addition to mobile booking, it includes a wide range of practical services and information, such as expense management, a geolocation service and public transport maps. In particular, business travellers can place their own business or leisure landmarks on a map, manage the planning of their stay, and even map out their diary to optimise their stay. "The needs of business travellers are changing: the boundary between professional and personal life is becoming blurred," sums up Mathieu Saccharin, Accor's Director of Mobile, adding: "Away On Business offers a one-stop shop: making business travel easier and more user-friendly.
