The Young Presidents' Organization World Leadership Summit, held from 26 February to 1 March 2012, brought together nearly 2,000 guests from 77 countries at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center.
This first Asian edition was marked by speeches from two Nobel Prize winners: Aung San Suu Kyi and Professor Muhammad Yunus. Throughout the summit, thirty stands facilitated interaction between participants, before the closing dinner hosted by Justin Quek, famous chef of the Sky on 57 restaurant, brought together some 1,800 guests in the reception room of the Sands Grand Ballroom.
A few weeks later, the 31st International Nut and Dried Fruit Congress was held on Sentosa, organised by East West Planners on 19 May 2012. In all, more than a thousand guests took their seats in the new Maritime Experiential Museum and Aquarium (MEMA) at Resorts World Sentosa. The organisers were able to meet the client's requirement for originality, and allay their fears about the journey time to Sentosa Island by creating a traffic management simulation.
