Supersonic drone: already tomorrow

An unmanned aircraft flying at 6,000 kilometres per hour thanks to missile engines: this is the crazy project of the X-51A WaweRider, developed by Boeing and engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney in collaboration with the US Air Force and NASA. This aircraft, which could enter service in the 2020s, would be capable of flying from New York to Sydney in two hours.
