Business travel is being partially disrupted this Monday 13 January by a strike action launched by five taxi driver unions (CFDT, CGT, FO, SDCTP, CST), who are once again protesting against the increasing use of chauffeur-driven vehicles (Véhicules de Tourisme avec Chauffeur - VTC). Rallies organised in the early morning at the two Paris airports partially blocked passenger pick-up at Orly. Other operations were planned in France. The regulation requiring chauffeur-driven vehicles to pick up a new customer within 15 minutes was not enough to ease tensions. Quite the contrary, in fact. The Allocab.com network has just announced that it is taking legal action before the Conseil d'Etat to overturn these regulations.
