Andromeda Tower
Designed by Wilhem Holzbauer, the Andromeda tower was Vienna DC's first building, inaugurated in 1998. At 113 metres, it is the tallest building in the district to date, and offers 3,450 m2 of space, including 1,6400 m2 of offices on 29 floors, occupied by Unisys, General Electrics and the Japanese embassy, among others.
Ares Tower
On the 19th floor of this tower designed by Neumann & Partner, completed in 2001, meeting organisers will be able to take advantage of the exceptional facilities of the Wolke 19 event space. The tower houses 29,000 m2 of office space. On the 17th floor is the Austrian headquarters of Agence France Presse.
Saturn Tower
The Saturn Tower, designed by Hans Hollein and Heinz Neumann, was inaugurated at the end of 2004, with a series of recesses that promise clarity, mini-terraces and balconies. It is home to some of the district's leading companies, including IBM and Sanofi-Aventis. The view from the Sky Lobby on the 21st floor is spectacular!
Tech Gate
Designed by Wilhem Holzbauer and Franck Sepp and inaugurated in 2001, Vienna's new technology park was extended in 2005 with the Tech Gate Tower, the first building visitors notice when they leave Kaisermühlen station. This is where you'll find innovative companies such as Comverse Network Systems Austria, Genosense Diagnostics, Optima Computer Systems and VBC-Genomics Bioscience Research. These companies could soon be co-located with a major European showroom for Chinese technology.
Strabag Haus
It was in this building, designed by Ernst Hoffmann and Franz Janz, that Bauholding Strabag SE, the Austrian public works giant, moved its headquarters at the end of 2003. This does not exclude an arty touch, with sculptures by Bruno Gironcoli and the Art Lounge on the top floor (visit www.strabag-kunstforum.at).
Dc Towers
A 220-metre peak, highly photogenic shapes and a renowned architect, Dominique Perrault: the DC Towers will be the new emblem of Donau-City. They will also create a sensation on the local property market, with an estimated 8,6500 m2 for DC Tower 1 (60 storeys) and 58,000 m2 for DC Tower 2 (46 storeys). Thanks in part to this new project, Vienna-DC expects the number of people living or working in the district to double to 15,000 by 2012.
