Hotel reservations: a headache on the way to being solved

With a plethora of hotels to choose from and booking solutions that are not entirely effective, companies have long found it difficult to control their hotel expenditure. But the sector is changing fast. And, above all, it's moving in the right direction.

A declared desire to control budgets, but still a lot of work to do... Any resemblance with current economic events would obviously be fortuitous. However, optimising hotel spending remains at least as thorny an issue for companies as the slide in public finances is for many European countries. And that's saying something. For some years now, it has even become one of the main preoccupations of travel managers, who are hoping to rationalise an item worth almost five billion euros in France alone, the second largest travel budget after air travel.
