The new Première Classe seat developed by the SNCF will be showcased on 26 and 27 September at the Palais de Tokyo, through the Avant Première Classe exhibition: a first for the railway company. It will make its appearance from 2017 on EuroDuplex Atlantique TGV trains, with 40 trains equipped on the Paris-Bordeaux route. One of the key features of the seat is that it pivots: 90% of these seats can be turned in the direction of travel.. In terms of comfort, the new seat - whose the dimensions have been increased - has been designed to adapt to the different activities of passengers, guaranteeing them optimum comfort both when working and when resting. The most studious travellers will be able to enjoy a more upright position and a large table presented as "a real desk", with 45% of additional surface area. In addition, a lumbar support adjusts automatically according to the inclination of the seat. On the technical side, there's the appearance of a secretary with USB ports and integrated sockets, and a fold-out mini-tablet so you can plug in your phone without having to carry around a large-format tablet. In addition to this new First Class seat, SNCF plans to review the entire design of the EuroDuplex Atlantiqueincluding wheelchairs for Second Classand the arrival of a new bar equipment that should be unveiled in 2017.
