Royal Dutch Airline (KLM) announced on 2 January the launch of audio description of films for the blind and partially sighted on its Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 aircraft. This technique consists of narrating a film aloud. The process can be complex, involving a large number of important choices. For example, the narrator has to select the facial expressions, actions or scenery and synthesise everything in the time available. For the moment, only three feature films are available: Home Again, Kingsman, The Golden Circle and Lego Ninjago Movie. However, the airline plans to release new films in the coming months.
