SNCF strike: forecasts for 9 May

On the 16th day of strikes on the SNCF network, the railway company plans to operate one TGV link in two on 9 May. International lines, notably Eurostar and Thalys, are relatively unaffected.

SNCF announces one TGV in 2 on 9 May

This Wednesday 9 May starts on 16th day of strike action within the SNCF network. The railway company should be able to guarantee half of its operations TGV on average. In detail, SNCF expects 3 trains out of 4 on the East1 out of 2 for the axes Atlantic and South-Eastand 3 out of 7 for the North.

Internationally, business travellers will be relatively unscathed on their business trips by Eurostar or Thalyswhere "near-normal" traffic is expected.

As for traffic IntercitésSNCF is expecting major traffic disruption on the following routes:

  • Paris-Rouen-Le Havre: 2 trains out of 5
  • Paris-Caen-Cherbourg: 2 trains out of 5
  • Paris-Granville: 2 trains out of 5
  • Caen-Le mans-Tours: 1 train in 2
  • Paris-Limoges-Toulouse: 3 trains out of 5
  • Paris-Nevers: 1 train in 3
  • Paris-Clermont: 2 trains out of 3
  • Paris-Amiens-Boulogne: 1 train in 5
  • Paris-St-Quentin-Maubeuge: 1 train in 4
  • Bordeaux-Marseille: 1 train in 4
  • Nantes-Bordeaux: 1 train in 3
