Visit Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese will reopen its doors on 1 July following a major renovation by the much sought-after interior designer Jean-Philippe Nuel. Located near via Veneto, this five-star hotel is housed in a 19th-century palazzo and comprises 78 rooms and three large reception halls. Above all, there is the infinite beauty of the city that can be contemplated from the Settimo restaurant on the roof terrace; the graceful gardens of Villa Borghese, the imposing silhouette of St Peter's Basilica.
Almost directly overlooking the forum and the monument to Victor Emmanuel II, the NH Collection Fori Imperiali also plays on the historic scale of the Italian capital to add to its cachet. This intimate boutique hotel with just 42 rooms, including nine suites, will open in the third quarter in an elegant nineteenth-century residence.

Following on from the Hôtel de Russie, a hotel once frequented by Cocteau and Picasso and which regained its palatial status around fifteen years ago, the collection was enriched at the end of May by a second establishment, the Hôtel de la Ville.
