
Airlines make their mark in the CESthe technology event held every year at Las Vegas. For this 2020 edition, American Airlines has just announced the launch of a machine translation service. In the wake of this Delta which has played the technology card, bringing out some major assets. The airline's CEO, Ed Bastianwas on hand on the main stage at CES to give an update on Delta's progress and plans for the longer term. The Fly Delta application is also expected to play a crucial role in-flight, by coupling with the new entertainment system (IFE) deployed by Delta. Passengers will be able to synchronise their phone with the screen in the cabin. Then use their loyalty points to order, for example, the delivery of a meal on arrival at the airport. But the most striking technological advance unveiled by delta at CES 2020 is undoubtedly the concept "Parallel Reality. Delta plans to use this trial in Detroit to provide itinerary indications, flight information and lounge locations.
