The Accor group's offering is set to expand further in Abidjan next year. On the strength of six establishments - including the prestigious Sofitel Hotel Ivoire, as well as Pullman, Novotel, Movenpick and Ibis hotels - the French group expects to open a new complex in 2024, combining two of its brands, Ibis Styles and Adagio. The investment platform KasadaThe project is part of a large-scale property complex currently under construction in the Angré district of Cocody. " With this "hotel combo", we are targeting the budget and long-stay segments, to offer an attractive range at the right price, in the heart of a densely populated area." said David Damiba, CIO of Kasada.
This property project, one of the largest underway in Côte d'Ivoire, is backed by HC Capital Properties, already the developer of the Cosmos Yopougon shopping centre, which opened in 2019 and has since become the busiest in the country. In addition to the Ibis Styles and Adagio hotels, built to EDGE-certified environmental standards, this vast complex will include a shopping centre with more than 60 shops, restaurants, a mini leisure park and a clinic. This new urban centre, spread over a five-hectare site, will also include offices and coworking spaces. Business travellers will be able to find a total of 150 rooms in a setting that is as conducive to relaxation as it is to work.
