Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is undoubtedly one of the major issues for the future of business travel. And one which, if it is to be properly managed, requires precise information to help managers to manage their travel policies accordingly. In a similar vein, American Express GBT and Cvent have just launched a solution to facilitate hotel sourcing and prepare for the 2022 tender season with this imperative in mind. The initiative, developed by Amex GBT's Global Business Consulting (GBC) team and Cvent, aims to make the process of gathering and exchanging information more efficient. Hotel suppliers have to answer 47 additional questions, which will be added to a specific section of the solution in September. Cvent Transientfor professional buyers.

To develop the questions, Cvent and the GBC team spoke to companies, major hotel groups, TMCs and consultancies. That's over three months of interviews. Travel managers can now use Cvent's reporting functionality to evaluate suppliers' responses, as well as the information received during the tendering process, in order to better aligning purchasing decisions with CSR objectives of their organisation.
